Best Yolk Slices
Traditional recipe for yolk slices, suitable for any occasion.

- 250 g butter
- 200 g confectionery sugar
- 250 g walnuts
- 150 g semi-coarse flour
- 3 spoons baking powder
- 6 pcs egg whites
Yolk glaze:
- 6 pcs Egg yolks
- 250 g confectionery sugar
For decoration:
- cooking chocolate

1. Step
Whip the butter with powdered sugar until frothy.
2. Step
Gradually add the flour, nuts and baking powder.
3. Step
Whisk the egg whites into a stiff peak, then carefully fold them into the dough.
4. Step
Pour the dough into a baking sheet that is greased with butter and sprinkled with flour.
5. Step
Often we bake in a preheated oven for about 25 minutes at 180°C.
6. Step
Whisk the egg yolks with powdered sugar until smooth.
7. Step
We often take it out of the oven and while it's still hot, pour over the yolk glaze.
8. Step
Pour chocolate over the custard slices once cooled.
