Ingredients
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon of salt
- 3⁄4 Cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 1 Cup of packed brown sugar
- 1⁄2 Cup of white sugar
- 1 tablespoon of Vanilla Extract
- 1 egg
- 1 yolk
- 2 cups of M&M's

Directions
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and line the cookie sheets with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
In another large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until it forms a smooth mixture.
To the butter mixture, add the vanilla extract, egg, and egg yolk one at a time, making sure to blend well after each addition.
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just blended.
Stir in the M&M's by hand using a wooden spoon.
For each cookie, drop 1 rounded tablespoonful of dough onto the prepared cookie sheets, ensuring there's about 3 inches space apart to allow it for spreading.
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 15-17 minutes, or until the edges are lightly toasted.
Allow them to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
