Apple punch in winter Hot drink
For me, this apple punch is a real treat that sweetens up the cold fall and winter months. I have made this recipe numerous times over the last few years and it has become a real family favorite. The taste of juicy apples combined with the aroma of cinnamon and the warmth of the punch is unsurpassable.

Directions
To make apple punch, pour the apple juice into a large saucepan. In my experience, it has always been a good idea to use a large pot, as the ingredients can foam up when heated.
While the juice is slowly warming up over a medium heat, you can rinse the orange and lemon under cold water and cut into slices. If the fruit is organic, the peel can be cooked with it without hesitation.
Add the cinnamon sticks, cloves, lemon, orange and brown sugar to the apple juice. I love watching the sugar melt in the juice - it gives the punch a wonderful sweetness and a great aroma.
Leave the punch to simmer on a low heat for 25-30 minutes. It is important that you keep the heat low and only let the punch simmer to allow the flavors to develop optimally.
After the preparation time, remove the pan from the heat and add the amaretto. This step is optional and can be omitted if you want the punch to remain alcohol-free. Leave the punch to infuse for about 10 minutes so that the amaretto can release its flavor.
Before serving, I recommend pouring the apple punch through a sieve to remove the spices and fruit. Pour into glasses while warm and serve as a winter drink.
