American potatoes in the skin
This recipe for American potatoes in the skin has quickly become a favourite in our house. It's the perfect combination of crispy potato skin and soft baked interior.
Ingredients
- 4 a piece larger potatoes
- 4 spoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper for seasoning
- 1 spoon ground paprika
- 2 twigs rosemary

Start by washing the potatoes thoroughly. I don't peel them because the skin is key in this recipe.
Then cut the potatoes into quarters.
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and add the potatoes. Fry them on both sides until golden brown.
Then sprinkle the potatoes with salt, ground paprika and black pepper. Mix and fry for a few minutes.
Finally, add the sprigs of rosemary and leave the potatoes in the pan for a few more minutes. The rosemary will give the potatoes a great aroma and taste.
Transfer the potatoes to a baking tray and bake in the oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes, or until they are a beautiful golden colour.
